Park Bachinovo

The park “Bachinovo” in the city Blagoevgrad is located on the edge of the city. A quiet and calm little spot, which is close to the center. Here along the 3 km. long walkway you can find a waterpark, Cafés, playgrounds, a rope park and a lake. The walkway, also known as the walkway of health runs parallel to the Bistritsa river and crosses a beautiful wooded area. The park is a favorite place to relax, play sports, sunbathe, to take a walk, and other forms of entertainment for the residents and visitors of Blagoevgrad. There are many sports events and holidays being held here. It’s also a favorite place of cyclist, there’s a special lane just for them on the walkway.

The lake of the swans is a great tourist attraction. Here you can ride on pedalos in the shape of swans in the company of real swans and ducks. The lake is very beautiful and is amidst scenic nature. Close to it there’s a children’s rope park, in which there are four levels of difficulty, in it there is a bungee swing with trampolines and more.

In the beginning of the walkway there’s a big waterpark. This is one of the most favorite places for sunbathing, swimming, relaxing and all round fun. The complex has an outdoor Olympic sized pool, an indoor pool, a pool with a wave generator, a wading pool, water slides, a VIP zone, two wet bars, a restaurant and more.

From the park you can go up to the mountain resort grounds Bodrost and the ski center “Kartala”. Passing that the road leads to the unique biosphere reserve “Parangalitsa” and the guest house “Macedonia”, and from there you can embark on the trails of National park “Rila”.
